Cincinnati Voces y Movimiento: VyM
Voces y Movimiento: Latine Performing Arts Festival is Cincinnati's first performing arts festival dedicated to showcasing Latine artists. Presented by Dos-Corazones Productions, this landmark first edition takes place over each weekend in September, to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
The festival brings together an extraordinary range of artistic disciplines — theater, dance, music, kids’ programming, and literature — all created by professional Latine artists who call Cincinnati home. From contemporary choreography to documentary film, from live music to powerful spoken word, Voces y Movimiento offers a vivid, multidimensional portrait of Latine culture and creativity.
This festival was born from a simple but urgent belief: art has the power to unite us. In a moment when communities can feel increasingly divided, Voces y Movimiento offers something different — a space for reflection, connection, and shared celebration. It's an opportunity for Cincinnati's Latine community to see itself represented on stage, and for the broader Cincinnati community to discover the depth, talent, and artistry of their Latine neighbors.
The timing is intentional. Over the past decade, the Hispanic population in Cincinnati and its surrounding areas has grown by more than 40%, and Cincinnati itself ranks among the top ten U.S. cities for the arts. Voces y Movimiento is a festival whose moment has arrived — one rooted in community, powered by professional artists, designed to grow into an annual celebration of Latine culture in Cincinnati, and offering a stage where our community can see itself represented, celebrated, and embraced.
Mark your calendars and join us for a September full of performance, culture, and connection.
